THE HUNTS

Hey guys, and welcome back. Today I thought I`d talk about something a little different. You guys are probably tired of reading about the same genre every week. So today I`m gonna be talking about a band that goes by the name,The Hunts.

The Hunts are an indie folk band from Chesapeake,Virginia. They are a seven member band consisting of two sisters and five brothers. we`ll start with the two sisters,Jennifer and Jessica(who are actually twins).         Jennifer is the oldest hunt by two minutes, she sings, writes lyrics, and plays many different instruments including the piano, viola, violin, and the guitar. Next we have Jessica, same as her sister she sings and writes lyrics, she plays the mandolin, banjo, and violin. Now for the boys, first is Joshua, the oldest brother he sings writes lyrics and plays the guitar. Josh is also a poet and a college graduate. Next is Jonathan,he is the main composer for the band as well as playing the guitar, piano, accordion, and some hand percussion. Next is Jordan,he sings plays the drums, violin, ukulele, and hand percussion. Jord recently graduated from high school.
Then we have Justin, out of everyone in the band Justin can play the most instruments, playing whatever the band needs. Justin also has two YouTube channels where he makes funny videos that usually include singing.  Finally we have Jamison,he`s the youngest member at only sixteen. JJ sings, plays the guitar, mandolin, drums, and the violin.
Now after that you should be seeing a pattern, all there names start with J.
The Hunts come from a christian background, and are very religious this can be heard in there choice of lyrics. Apart from music the band does charity work, for the last two summers and Christmas 2013 they went to Haiti and  taught music to children.

All seven members of this great band are talented in and out of music. I love the folk genre and I love this band. If you want to hear a great new folk band with a fresh sound I strongly suggest giving them a listen. That`s it for today, and as always fell free to leave a comment and tell me what you think of The Hunts,or give suggestions for future topics.
